Research has proven that, when introduced between ages five and seven, instrumental music can change the physiology of the brain.
Forte Strings seeks to not only foster our students as string players and advocates for social justice but we also plan to positively impact brain development in our scholars. This research also supports the idea that this type of program could potentially help young men avoid violent outcomes. At Forte Strings we believe our children deserve more options and more engagement. We would like to help them get it. Music is not only a means of expression for our students it is also a way of relationship building, skill building and community building.
