Gustavo Dudamel and the simon bolivar orchestra
Gustavo Dudamel and the Simon Bolivar Orchestra of Venezuala, took the world by storm. Dudamel was the protege of Jose Antonio Abreu and he went on to be the youngest conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic where he is to this day. It is worth noting that the orchestra remained true to it's cultural identity, playing pieces from the traditional classical cannon as well as many works from latin American composers and works in many different styles.
